Baseball has been part of my life since the KBO filled my summer evenings in Seoul, the crowds singing through every inning whatever the score. The leap to following MLB came once I started caring about the numbers as much as the noise, and I found a sport built for the way my mind works — every pitch a discrete event, the data deep enough to study for a lifetime.

Why the park can decide a total before first pitch

A fly-ball pitcher in a cramped hitter's park with the wind blowing out is a different bet from the same arm in a cavernous yard on a cold night.
